I am happy for my Melanin
because Melanin is the
reason I have beautiful dark skin!

beautiful, smooth dark skin
and it protects it over and over again
from the cold and the wind
from Sun burns and paper cuts thin

When I am having fun
in the Sun I get help from
my powerful Melanin always shielding me from
harm as I play and run I know my Melanin is number one!

When I look in the mirror and see my reflection
I jump for joy just to know that it's all due
to Melanin. My face turns into one big grin
thanks to my Melanin!

which continually reproduces itself.
Melanin, I am glad you were given
to me to lift my pride and dignity.
